No home-building project in the mountains is without challenges.  The short building season, extreme weather, and rugged terrain can be foremost among those challenges. We found Ariza Construction to have the experience and resources to keep our project on track despite a building season that started in late June, our property being steep and rocky, and weather that included extreme heat, torrential downpours and an early snow.

We looked at many homes on the market and found that none of them had everything we were looking for.  Ariza Construction helped us fulfill our vision by not only building the home we dreamed of but by helping make choices that improved the finished product.

We found Ariza Construction to be a refreshing change from contractors we had worked with in the past.  His dedication to building our home to our detailed specifications exceeded our expectations.

Our busy work schedules made it difficult for us to observe construction of our home as frequently as we would have liked.  Fortunately for us, Ariza kept us informed throughout the project and responded to our questions promptly.

Dave Ariza is the kind of person everyone hopes for in a builder:  Experienced, dependable, honest, and a pleasure to work with.

Ariza suggested improvements to our plans that we really appreciated.  He improved the layout of our master bathroom, moved our service panel out of sight,  eliminated an unnecessary half-wall, and sloped our front deck and driveway just enough to ensure proper drainage.  He gladly made changes to our plans that we asked for as well, including moving windows and trimming out exterior soffits and over-hangs.

We learned that home plans leave many details up to the builder to figure out.  Things like where to route heating ducts and what size fireplace is proportional to the space.  Ariza presented us with suggestions and choices and made decisions himself when it was appropriate to do so. We found his patience and experience invaluable in helping us make the right choices throughout our project.

When we started to plan this house everyone warned us it would be a true test of our marriage.  They said we would be lucky to get through it.  But it was the best experience that we could have had.  Dave was so easy to work with and he is not only a great leader for his crew but he is truly an artist.  Our home is perfect for our mountain lot.  Not only was our house under budget, but it was also on time. Our neighbors remarked that our house was started before other projects in the neighborhood and finished well in advance. Dave was instrumental in helping us with design and finishes.  Our home is evidence of Dave's creativity and craftsmanship.
